Ok, I'm currently tracing my BC Family Tree and have hit a bump in the road. :(

I'm trying to find out about a David Harris born 1845 to a Sarah Smith born 1846 and both as far as I'm aware were born in Cradley Heath/Rowley Regis.

If it's the David I'm looking for his father is Joseph and mother Mary. David and Sarah were married Dudley, St Thomas 24.4.1864.

I'd realy appreciate any help anyone can offer as I'm so totally confused right now. Seems there is another David and Sarah Haris, and the children even have similar names, but the Sarah's have different maiden names, but both seem to be born around the same time. :?

Have you got a bapt for this David?
Have you got the marriage certif? with father Joseph on?
Do you have the line from any of the kids of this lot?

Or this lot on a census at all?

this is odd...so are there 2 Josephs marrying the same time?

unless there are any clues on the census to it being your line from one of the kids
and you are sure that father is a Joseph then you need a look up on the marriage and see which one has father Joseph
do you know what occupation Joseph had?

There is an extracted bapt for a David Harris Cradley in 1830 and this is interesting on the submitted

So will wait for Nutsy to come back and get involved on the thread
as it may be that both those Davids have a father Joseph as on the 1871 that I found
the 1871 and 1881 are obviously the same 2 Davids
So the occupation would be useful for Nutsys David for David and his father in checking on marriage
Seems 2 marriages in 1864 too.

So this looks like we could have 3 David Harris all married to a different Sarah!

Linell has flagged another marriage to a Bloomer for a David harris
So we have Smith- Lowe and Bloomer

We also it seems have 2 Josephs for fathers and a Benjamin
