<<I wonder if the Thomas Willetts gun barrel forger is the one who died in 1843?>> I take it you mean 1853 Kate :?:

Yes could be if Sarah is a Widow in 1861. Free Reg has the death of Thomas Willetts Boro. Thomas son of Samuel and Mary was born up the hill in Hayley Green, we can't swear he stayed there, or that he didn't die young or emigrate. But yes Kate, I agree; with Widow Sarah in 1861 he looks the most likely candidate for the death in 1853, which means it is possible that Thomas born about 1811 son of Samuel and Mary could well be the one that Marie and Bill are looking for. Any relatives near him and Bathsheba in 1841 :?: I don't have a subscription to Ancestry anymore to look up the Census, do have some discs but no indexes. :o Cheers Kate from Lin.

I think that would work and would fit with those bapts on same day for Letitia Willetts and Thomas Willetts
having kids bapt on 3 jan 1836

1856
TAYLOR William WILLETTS Sarah Dudley, St Edmund Dudley Register Office 201/002/485

SARAH OLIVER Marriages:
Spouse: THOMAS WILLETS Marriage: 25 JUL 1831 Kingswinford, Stafford, Extracted

would be useful to look that up see if wits any clues as to which thomas married sarah
is it the John and Elizabeth one

May we thank all of you who have contributed to this particular post.
We think that, between you, Thomas's parentage is solved as close as we could expect. Possibly the fact that Thomas & Bathsheba went to baptise a child at St.Johns, on the same day as James & Letita Coley (nee Willetts) was no coincidence, but a family occasion.
It's lucky that the women involved had not so common christian names, Bathsheba & Letitia.
You have elimated the other Thomas's and we feel that our Thomas is the brother of Letita their parents are Samuel Willetts and Mary Crumpton from Hayley Green.
We have researched the two witnesses at Thomas & Bathsheba's wedding and find that John Hawkeswood and Elizabeth Gough married 19 Mar 1837 at Oldswinford and feel that John Hawkeswood had Hayley Green connections.
We have just seen a tree on an "ancestors.co.uk" tree where someone has John Hawkeswood the son of Thomas Hawkeswood and Jane Crumpton of Hasbury so the plot thickens and will do a bit of research in this direction.
If Linell thinks that this post has conclusive result then on your BCC tree the Thomas Willetts 1811 can be given the wife Bathsheba Hunt from Bromsgrove married 26 Jan 1835 Oldswinford.
Thanks again folks.

1861 transcribed as Milletts and age for Thomas is 12 months

1871 looks like 11 to me if you look at the 6 for Thomas age as 60
