I have a Harriet Barralet b 1820 (I think), married 1844 (under the name of Barralett) to one of four possibilities.
Marriages Sep 1844 (>99%)
Barralett Harriet Hackney 3 157
Cooper William Hackney 3 157
Francis Jabez Hackney 3 157
Secker George Hackney 3 157
Toussaint George William Hackney 3 157
With my resources I can't move any further forward but it is understood that she had a large family.
Can anyone firstly identify which man she married, which will give me a great step up the ladder, and secondly look up subsequent censuses to give me some ideas about her whereabouts and her offspring.
Adresses and reference numbers would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Harriet Barralet
She married George Secker on the 19th August 1844 in West Hackney, London.
She died of Cholera on the 8th September 1849 so you will not find them together on a census.
She had two sons. Jame Secker born 1845 in Hackney
George Secker born 22nd November 1847 at St Luke in Middlesex.
Harriet's widower, George, married Mary Ann Simmons and they had three children.
Anything else you need to know?

Re: Harriet Barralet
Do you know any of the childrens names?
That could well be another Harriet if you are not certain of her age.

Re: Harriet Barralet
That's brilliant, thanks very much. Is the 1881 actually as SEEKER?
I think this can be archived now.
