COMPLETED Newton - a bit of a conundrum

Post by SRD »

I have a family of Newtons:
Husband: Ronald Percival b 1897 Islington
Wife: Phyllis May (née Ibbott) b 1896 St. George, Hanover Sq.

I have a couple of possible daughters:
Births Jun 1926 (>99%)
Newton Elizabeth M Ibbott Richmond S 2a 902
Births Dec 1929 (>99%)
Newton Sonia M Ibbott Bristol 6a 16

And I have a multiplicity of deaths:
FMP deaths
Newton Ronald Percival Newton Abbot Devon 1976
Newton Ronald Percival Plymouth Devon 1988
Newton Phyllis May Newton Abbot Devon 1971
Newton Phyllis May Exeter Devon 1989

I can't find another Ronald P Newton & Phyllis M marriage to justify the two separate deaths so how could they have died twice (or had their deaths registered twice in different places at different times)?

What ages does it give for the deaths?

Does this Newton family originate in Newton Abbot? Or is that a coincidence?

Thanks to you all.

My Newton's don't, as far as I know, originate in Devon. As you can see, the dates for my Ronald P match the Newton Abbot one and for Phyllis May the Exeter one. As I'm only using the freely available (with emphasis on the free) sources Phyllis May Newton is quite a common name so difficult to track, but Ronald Percival isn't. There's this one:

Births Mar 1930 (>99%)
Newton Ronald P Waldron Wycombe 3a 1553

And a possible marriage of his parents:
Marriages Dec 1926 (>99%)
Newton Percy Waldron Wycombe 3a 2078
Waldron Lorna M Newton Wycombe 3a 2078

So it looks like it's just a coincidence that both sets are living in much the same area at much the same time.
