ARC TBC HELP PLEASE re James Powell & Nicholas

Hello peeps
Newbie here seeking help with regard to James Powell soldier born about 1800 in Ireland, not known where.
All I have is that he and his son Nicholas came over from Ireland and settled in The Knowle Rowley Regis.
Nicholas married Elizabeth Sheldon b1819 from dudley on 5th April 1847.
I believe they had 4 children Frank b1848 Francis b1849 John b 1851 Ann b 1859.
My problem is ,where can i go to find out about their time in this area ?
I know about their later life they moved north and settled and died in Castleford West Yorkshire. (mining town)
I also believe Elizabeth and Ann at about 1861 were in the west brom workhouse, i think Ann may have died there.Bless her.

Peterd yes i have a copy of marriage cert, what do you require from that if anything.?

On ancestry there is an image of the marriage cert and it has Thomas Sheldon as Elizabeth father. Witnesses John Hickman and Elizabeth Palmer

James Powell is my real problem all i have is that he was born in Ireland abt 1800 , on his sons marriage cert his profession is Soldier, also his address was The Knowle Rowley Regis. Can anyone shed any light on The Knowle, what it is ,where can i find an address or indeed where can i find his death or birth , who was his wife? This man is doing my head in.

The Knowle is an area of Rowley Regis, it used to have a Gas Works, a Colliery and a Quarry all in approximately a 2 mile area. This link has some details on it:-
