Suki has Benjamin Baker born 1781 RR and I have a Benjamin Baker born 1781 RR who was father of an Elizabeth Baker who married Major Flavell b.1805 see below for Census and other details.
I believe it is same Benjamin Baker


Joshua Flavell & Jane Flavell (nee Timmins) married c. 1800 and they had 7 children

William Flavell 1800 to 1800
Mary Ann Flavell 1801 to 1874
Major Flavell 1805 to 1894 who went on to marry Elizabeth Baker
Ann Maria Flavell 1808
Ruth Flavell 1812
Matilda Flavell 1816
Edward Flavell 1819 to 1837

Major Flavell & Elizabeth Flavell(nee Baker) had 10 Children of which 9 are detailed on Census details above but first Child Benjamin Flavell born c. 1824 is not noted on 1841 Census but appears on 1851 Census below.

Benjamin Baker M 55 Staffs. Gun Smith
Sharlot Baker F 55 Not Staffs.

Address:- Gosty Hill, Rowley Regis, Dudley, Staffordshire

Note:-a) Probably parents of Elizabeth Baker who married Major Flavell
b) A lot of Baker Surname from Rowley at this time were also Gunsmiths
c) In Rowley Regis Parish Register Susanna Baker daughter of Benjamin & Charlotte Baker Gunsmith of Gosty Hill was baptised on 20/3/1814 and on 11/8/1811 a son Peter was baptised

Charlotte Baker Wife M F 67 Halesowen,Worcs.
Benjamin Flavell Grd. Son U M 26 Rowley, Staffs. Lab. At Canal

Benjamin Flavell married a Sarah Harding in 1856 Islington vol.1b page 275

Elizabeth is noted as Eliza on first two but becomes Elizabeth on last Census record.

Is it safe to put these marriages on tribal. I notice that a lot of the Shaws from RR are Gunsmiths ie Aaron wife Susanna and from the Old hill area. I wonder if there are any other missing Bakers marriages at Clent???

Just noticed on Tribal a marriage for Susannah Baker and Aaron Shaw Old Swin.does this tie in.

I will insert as soon as possible. Rugby at weekend and I am immersed in research of Black Country People who moved to Liverpool in 19th Century at moment. Link is working well and I have had good response from Liverpool.

All inserted but notes did not come out with correct spacing when inserted , perhaps you could adjust ? Under Elizabeth Baker
