Do you have an old Postcard that you would like to reunite with its original family? Or maybe just let others know the information on one you own?
If so have a look in this section.

Hi NL I can't do anything more with this. Genesreunited has Hazel Bishop born 1914 Wolverhampton in a tree by "Graham". He has Isabella Walker too so I think it is the right connection. If you still subscribe then you could try asking him what he knows, he might like to know about the postcard too - though you can never tell with Genes if people are actually connected or not!

We have a postcard from a Bella (Walker) which one of our members bought the other day. I think it may be your family
I would just like to say I was so pleased you went the extra mile to locate someone who could expand on what you knew about this particular postcard. You all are just great gene people for doing so.
Anyway where to start Isabella herself I suppose. Bella to everyone of course you know that. Bella was the elder Sister to "Jack" You have the correct dates for Isabella. My father in law gave me one piece of inaccurate info when he thought she went to Worthing and then Poole. Worthing read Wolverhampton. However she did move to Poole in Dorset and died at Bournemouth in 1987 (Mar) at a grand age of 93. I do have an address for her in Poole
Isabella married as you rightly say in 1912 in Pontefract an Albert E Bishop. Now Albert is very much a stranger to me in that I have nothing accurate although my wife's family (this is her line. Francis H Walker and Ruth are on her direct line) tell me he was a Guernsey man. I have a potential contact there and I am going to endeavour to prove this shortly. How he came to be in England and all these places should prove an interesting story.
Isabella was the eldest child. Her brother Jack was the next born. He was known as Jack by the family but was actually John Francis Walker born 1896 in Pontefract Jack joined up. Initally he was recruited by the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry but as so many did for a variety of reasons transferred. He went to the Cameronians who are and were based at Hamilton in Scotland. I have provided them with what I have and he is remembered in the Regimental Museum in Hamilton. Jack saw service in Flanders and sadly died 31 July 1917 age just 22. (Lance Corporal 40282 2nd Battalion Cameronians) Even worse Jacks body like so many others was not found.Although the Belgians people are still finding a number. Jack is remembered on the Menin Gate memorial. I am fortunate in that I have been and I have seen the plate with his name engraved in the Wall. It is so near to where those who participate in each evenings service go to lay a wreath. Something I am sure you will all see particularly in 2014-2018. The 8pm Bugle service is memorable and certainly something to be seen. Bring plenty of Hankies! I do have a photograph of him in full kit. A family photo is to hand too.
Doris Walker is child number 3 and the next in line. Doris is the grandmother of my wife. Doris was born 13 November 1902 in Pontefract and died of cancer of the bladder 13 March 1999 in West Riding Nursing home, Lingwell Gate, Outwood. Doris married a Railway Guard Horace Clayton b 24/10/1900, Bottomboat, Stanley near Wakefield on the 20 Sept 1924 in Pontefract. Horace died 25 Jan 1980 in Horbury near Wakefield. A close couple. To one and all they were known as Horace and Doris. Quite catchy and easily remembered by everyone.
I will put more details on the link tomorrow. Otherwise I will be accused of neglect by the lady who must be obeyed!
