COMPLETED Golding/Whitehead

Post by SRD »

I'm trying to find info on Charles Golding and Flora Whitehead, probably in North West Kent but not necessarily. I think this is their son:
FreeBMD Births Jun 1931
Golding Reginald C Whitehead Dartford 2a 1185

Thanks

Thanks Jimmy, that looks like them. I'm really trying to follow the Whitehead line, looking for Etty's sister Dorothy, could you look up that census info please?

Is there a (free) way to find the maiden name of Etty's mother?

There is this one in 1911, or just coincidence on the name Etty Fora, they would be to old I would think to be parents though.

1911. Dartford, Kent. Basics.
WHITEHEAD WILLIAM THOMAS. M. 1859. 52.
WHITEHEAD ETTY FLORA. F. 1864. 47.
WHITEHEAD FREDERICK. M. 1895. 16.

Marriages Sep 1883.
Bragger Sarah Ann. Woolwich. 1d. 1655.
NEVILL Etty Flora. Woolwich. 1d. 1655.
WHITEHEAD William Thomas. Woolwich. 1d. 1655.

I don't know, FreeBMD has
Births Sep 1919 (>99%)
Whitehead Dorothy M Mills Dartford 2a 1040
as the only Dorothy Whitehead in the Dartford area but there are an awful lot more around the country between 1900 and 1926 which are reasonable dates to assume without any census info.

I would think that combination of names is likely to be a family thing so you may well have Etty Flora's grandparents with those entries.

1901. Cherry Orchard Farm, Crockenhill, Kent.
Thomas Whitehead 42. Farm Lab.
Etty Whitehead 37. Aldershot, Hampshire.
Reuben Whitehead 9. Son. Woolwich, Kent.
Fred Whitehead 6. Son. Woolwich, Kent.
John Whitehead 14. Son. Woolwich, Kent.
Thomas Whitehead 16. Son. Woolwich, Kent.

Could be one of these 2.

John!! why couldn't they have chosen Ebenezer??? Didn't they know how many Johns there are to trawl through?

There's this possibility:

Marriages Dec 1907 (>99%)
LEE Frederick John Dartford 2a 1045
MILES Ada Dartford 2a 1045
MILES Violet May Dartford 2a 1045
WHITEHEAD Thomas William Dartford 2a 1045

I wonder if they were sisters? Once again we need the 1911 census to see which belongs to which.
