I've just done a killer tomato soup!!!

First I fried some bacon in a saucepan, then added about two cups of water and a tin of tomatoes (with basil and oregano), some garlic and a bunch of chives. When it comes to the boil I added some pasta screws and cooked it for the time the pasta packet said. At the end I added some parsley and a load of basil. It was a bit thick so I added a little extra water. Dead easy, and it only took about twenty minutes!!

It's good cos it's a store cupboard recipe - I always have bacon in the freezer, and tin of tomato's in the cupboard - the herbs are what I happen to have at the time.

Yuk would rather have a ham sandwich. :!:
 It didn't happen again, I'd forgotten we had a meeting last night so I ended up, after a couple of pints in one of our locals, with a plate of chips (covered in melted cheese with a dish of garlic mayo on the side) from our local Chinese throwaway whilst MrsSRD had a pancake roll. Never mind, liver tonight!

I'm very glad I'm in possession of a lot of things my mom never had. Washing machine for one. Wish I had an ironing machine - hate ironing.
