Acording to my records, This Sarah Hadley married a Matthias Josiah Adams on the 27th Spetember 1845 a St John the Baptist in Halesowen.

Her parents are John Hadley born 1793 in Illey, Worcestershire and Mary Coley born abt 1798 in Halesowen.

Parents married 11th September 1820 at St John The Baptist.

Sarah was born abt 1820 and baptised 14th May 1820 at St John The Baptist.

Sarah was still alive in Lancashire in 1901 and Matthias died in 1873 in Halesowen.

They had ten children but I have only got basic information as this was not one of my Halesowen Hadley lines.

I thought Sarah has two siblings, Ann born 1825 and Sanuel born 1831.

I was going to investigte the Sivitor/Siviter line to see if they hooked up to mine....

Matthias Josiah Adams is not the bloke from Halesowen.

Because they were not my Hadley line it was only a quick set of notes I had.

There is a Matthias Josiah Adams but he was living in Stanhope, Durham in 1828

Youe Matthias Adams has no middle name and died in 1873 like I had in my notes.

People sometimes had a private baptism, especially if it was soon after birth and they were doubtfull that the child would live.

They would then have a public baptism when child and mother are healthy.

I have quite a few with two baptisms.
