Samuel WOOD - COMPLETED THANKYOU

Post by dolly »

Samuel Wood married Mary Ann Heapy in 1891, but Samuel was married before Her name was also Mary.
Could anyone find out who the first Mary was please?
I can't find Samuel's birth registered c1842 or his death. He was still alive in 1901 aged 58 and living in Quarnford, Staffordshire
I also need the 1861 & 1871 censuses for Samuel if anyone can help with that and 1911 if at all possible.
Thankyou

Thankyou
My grandmother said that Ernest Wood had 2 brothers: Albert & Joe (Joseph I presume) and some half brothers (obviously from Samuel's first marriage) No sisters
I think I may have found Albert on FreeBMD born in 1911 but can't seem to find Joe
My grandmother, Ernest's daughter is still living aged 92 She was born in 1919. She knows that I am doing the family tree and has been as helpful as she can
I have said I will try to find out as much as I can for her. I could really do with the 1911 census if anyone has access.
Also, Joe emigrated to Canada. I don't know when i'm sorry but is there any way to find out?
I would really like to find all this out for her as she is really interested.
Hope you can help :-)

I have sent for certificates from Stoke office. they are really quick and helpful. If you tell them that you only want the cert if the mothers maiden name is Heapy, then that's is what you will get. We all get to the point where we have to order the certs to be certain that we have the correct ancestors. Unfortunately we have to pay for them, if only it was all free and online we'd all be much happier, and richer...........
