There were quite a few articles on him in Aussie papers but everything was overshadowed by Bin Laden's demise.

What a beutifull part of the world to live your life after experiencing two world wars.

He first appears in hte Australian Electoral Roles in 1931 in Freemantle, Western Australia and he is a Prison Officer.

During the war the Electoral Role lists him as a Staff Instructor at the Naval Depot.

He is still listed as that in 1954.
Black Holes happen when God divides by zero.

I would love to add Claude to our tree as a mark of rememberance
but I can't see one of the ancestors there from the area of BC

If we think he should be added we can bend that rubber boundary a little

Yes - let's bend the boundaries a bit - we're bound to come across someone from the BC who is related to him. It would be an honour to have this wonderful man in our extended family.

No Madleine

it says in the Express and Star....

" His mother Madeline a welsh actress had walked out of the family home in Wyre Piddle near Pershore
when he was five. He was told she had died but in fact she had returned to the stage. Mr Choules never saw her again..."
