I just wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone for your input on this thread.

With this 8 hour time difference... I start a post before going to bed ....then wake up to find you have all been 'beavering away' through the night.... it's a bit like the 'elves and the shoemaker' ( anyone remember that story from childhood?)

You have given me so much new info...... my head is spinning somewhat with all the surnames...PROCTORS, TAYLORS, HEWITTS, HACKETTS, COMLEYS AND TROMANS ( & that's just for starters! )

I will need time to digest it all.... but thanks again!

Thanks for adding all that info. kdw :P

I do have more info. on the HEWITTS.... I will get back to you as I want to double check everything.

I think the TAYLORS should be left at the moment...... though I will have a look to see if the info. I have for the Joseph TAYLOR I found ties up with any of the TAYLORS on the BCC tree.

I think at the moment the Joseph I found does not tie up with the William I have in my tree( does that make sense?)
