"completed" Trouble reading 'occupation' on census

Post by expat66 »

Can anyone decipher what it says under 'occupation'?... I get 'miner(coal)'.. but then is it 'pikeman'? and what is the word written over the top?

Hope it is OK to attach a small section from a census like this?
thanks Expat
