Coloured and decorated boiled eggs for breakfast, lamb kebabs cooked on the BBQ for a late lunch and MrsSRD's home-made Simnel cake for tea. I suspect there'll be a glass or two of wine as well, and maybe a smidgin of brandy at the end of the day with one or two of MrsSRD's hand-made rum truffles.

We went to church last night for the Holy Saturday service got back in time for Match of The Day though!
When the kids were young we'd paint boiled eggs together but alas those days are gone. :(

You don't have to have kids around to paint your eggs, it's one of MrsSRD's annual rituals, she draws a face on the egg, usually of someone who's been in the news recently, and I have to guess who it is; it's good to start Easter Day off with a row about her inability to draw or mine to recognise.

Happy Easter!

Hope you all have a good weekend.
This is what an Easter egg looks like here...

The eggs come in different sizes - my husband got this size (5) from work, I had a modest size 3, and the kids have always had size 4. They all contain a motto as well as sweets.

We had friends over last night, so it was an excuse (not that I need one!) to get out the cadbury's mini eggs we bourght when we were in the UK. Today we're just relaxing. Lovely weather, but the explosion of birch pollen is keeping me indoors!
