In the 1881 census reference was found to an 'Ann Homer' living in 112 High Street, Rowley Regis with George Bloomer and his wife, Betsy and their family; Ann is described as 'mother-in-law and her birthplace is shown as 'Mushroom Green'. Also with her are John Homer ('brother-in-law') and Silvia Homer (transcribed as 'Silbey') who is described as a 'niece'. A BMD record was found of the marriage of an Elizabeth Homer (transcribed as 'Hemer) to a George Bloomer in the June quarter of 1875. In view of the make-up of this family it is likely that this is Hannah Homer with the family of her daughter, Elizabeth. There is no record of Thomas and it is assumed that he died between 1871 and 1881.
The above record is confirmed by an entry in the 1891 census, which clearly shows Hannah Homer, mother-in-law and 'widow', living with George and Elizabeth Bloomer in Holly Bush Street, Rowley Regis.
Hope this is helpful.
