ARC PENDING LOOK UP-----------Another Garratt question.

Post by TWG1947 »

We have Phoebe Garratt, born 1751, marrying John Johnson on the 3 Mar 1772, however on this date they witnessed the marriage of Benjamin Perry and Frances Trowman at St Giles Rowley Regis. Page 877 Rowley Regis PRs.

Did they marry on this date but at another church?

They must have married soon after as their first child, Daniel , was baptised 12 Sept 1773 at Rowley.

RR disc says what TWG has in his post above

1772
Mar. 3. Benjamin Perry, Naylor & b., & Frances Trowman, sp.
W.: John Johnson, Phoebe Garret, Elizabeth
Raybolde, Jos. Cartwright.

So looks they were the witnesses.

PR RR
3 Mar 1772
Benjamin Perry, Naylor, b & Frances Trowman, sp
Wit - John Johnson, Phoebe Garret, Elizabeth Raybolde, Jos Cartwright

I'd say their marriage was on that day just been missed by transcriber, I guess we'll never know.
I live in my own little world. But it's ok....they know me here!
