*Archived* -Tromas/Sidaway/Jeavons link

Post by mumbles »

Di has inserted a William Sidaway born 1844 RR son of Solomon Sidaway and Nancy Ann Tromans.
I have inserted a William Sidaway born 1846 RR who married a Sarah Jeavons in St. Johns Halesowen on 27/12/1868 .
Sarah was daughter of Andrew Jeavons born 1805 & Hannah Tromans b.1805.
I think this is same William Sidaway although some researchers on Ancestry have William b.1846 marrying a Sarah Hobbis and not Sarah Jeavons. This latter marriage I cannot find but the Sarah Jeavons marriage is easy to find.

Hi Mumbles I think they probably are the same but I will look up the marriage for
William Sidaway and Sarah Jeavons
27 Dec 1868
St.Johns, Halesowen

the Hobbis probably comes about as her mother Hannah married in 1863 Phillip Hobbis
so perhaps she took the name.

1868
SIDAWAY William JEAVONS Sarah Halesowen, St John the Baptist Dudley Register Office 014/003/358

I will check on father for William and Sarah and then bring this back with info

so unless otherwise advise gonna archive pending look up
