*Archive* Correction for Rosa Lizzie Spittle (1979)

I believe there is an error on the site for my ancestors. (I hope this is the right place for such a request).

In your tree:
Crampton, Philip H (b.1876) is married to Spittle, Rosannah E (no date) daughter of
Spittle, Ambrose Albert (1840) and Cooper, Martha (1841)

However I have that:
Crampton, Philip Henry (b.1876-1955) is married to Spittle, Rosa Lizzie (1879-1939) daughter of
Spittle, John (1846) and Barnes, Harriet (approx. 1847)

Where John Spittle is the brother of Ambrose Albert Spittle.

To explain what I have in full (Apologies if this is long and confusing, parts of it are still unclear to me).

I have a birth certificate for Rosa lizzie (1879) born in 'Waste Bank Wollescote',
listing John Henry Spittle and Harriet Spittle (prev Barnes) as parents.

However I can't find a Marriage certificate for John and Harriet, and believe that despite what the birth certificate says that they were unmarried at the time of birth (and maybe never married), and that Harriet was married to someone called Frier (again, can't find the marriage currently). (Family rumour says that she was divorced at some point?)

Harriet is marked as Married but John is marked as not. The Sam'l and Jane Spittle I believe are John's parents (the ages fit).

After this John and Harriet are always marked as married, but I can find no evidence of it.

do we have any census for Ambrose does he have a dau rosannah

As you have the 1911 census and her mother is showing as Harriet I think it needs disconnecting and the marriage looking up.

Yeah, I definitely had this one as a contender for being 'my' Rose Spittle for a while - I do remember that particular record because my brother thought that 'Crink Spittle' was the most hilarious name ever, and was quite disappointed when I told him I wasn't sure we were related to a person of that name after all!
