Have done a look up and got a James Priest as father - chainmaker

- Who did James marry think it may have been a Mary or Martha not sure..

best way is to find the 1861 ,71 census

father.. james
son..... Alfred c1854
sister.. Pheobe


as here the marriage of the two witnesses at alfred marriage

Thanks Jimmy... think they are bit early...and I have no idea where I got the name martha and mary from..while ago now.... :oops:

so yes we need Alfred on census with parents please and we can work back...

1861 Census as a James Priest and Martha, with son Alfred and daughter Phebe, plus 5 other children living in Rowley Regis.

On the 1861 census James is born about 1824.

we dont know if martha is james wife ? so i would excluded her from any search, can you post that census jimmy anyway with the kids as it might be them
