Thanks Jo :-)

Got the marriage certificate back at the weekend. It looks good as far as Daniel goes. Mary Long not so sure about.

14 June 1886, St Davis's Birmingham, by banns
David Jeavons, 32, B, Moulder, 13 Charles Henry Street, Daniel Jeavons, Deceased
Mary Long, 28, S, 8 Cheapside, Charles Long, Deceased
Witnesses: Fred John Brockett (?), Caroline Williams

It's a shame there's no occupations for the fathers, but it matches up for Daniel; his father was dead by 1886.
If the Mary Long is the same one as on the census, it's odd that she's down as spinster, and that Charles Long is her father.

Any thourghts?

Or father in law,I've found a possible census for Charles pre marriage:
1861:
West Bromwich
Charles Long Head Married M 34 1827 Lamp Lighter Tewkesbury Gloucestershire
Maria Wife Married F 34 1827 Laundress Kidderminster
George Son M 6 1855 Scholar West Bromwich Staffordshire
Charles Son M 1 1860 West Bromwich

I've got the reference for the other marriage so I'll send off for that.

Unfortunately the addresses given on the marriage cert don't help, although Charles Henry Street rings a bell, I can't remember why. There are two Charles Henry Streets; one in Brum and one in Aston, I've checked both before and after Mary's marriage to Daniel with no link that I can see. I think the one in Aston is most likely to be the correct one, if only because the family seem to have more links there.

That's probably better than Mary's first marriage!
