Re: Choice of Software

I've decided to go with Ancestris. It seems to work quite nicely on my test. Not as confusing as Gramps. It also have the advantage of being available for Windows and Apple.

London 1879 Burial

A cousin of mine is looking for the burial of William Rees of Gloucester Road, Bethnal Green, died 1879. I tried looking for a guide to searching for London burials but couldn't find one. Re: Ancestry membership

I have sent three emails to support@ancestry.co.uk and they don't reply. Their telephone number is 0800 which you can't dial from outside the UK! I have finally managed to pay by opening a new account and using paypal.

His service numbers were 4783 or 45237. I found a sign up for the Connau...

Ancestry membership

Hello: I joined Ancestry last year for a trial period and then a further month. I exhausted what sources they had for me (very little as I am mostly interested in Ireland) so I terminated my membership. I recently found they have army pension records. Choice of Software

Hello: I have done a huge amount of work on my family history over the last couple of decades and would like to now get it into something presentable to share with members of the family. The most important thing for most people is an attractive pedigree. I have a computer that is Linux (not Windows)...
