Does the birth certificate give an address for the birth? I wondered if search for that in the 1911 census would help? Who registered the birth? 46 Liverpool Street, St Pancras but there was no-one of any feasible connection living in the house in the census (or so it seemed to me!) and it appears ...

It would make sense as I've not been able to find even a halfway feasible record here. A contact in Buenos Aires searched the marriages over there though and said she couldn't find anything so who knows!
