Joseph Harold Fendall

m Hi, After being contacted by another researcher, I had another look at Joseph Harold Fendall's record on BCC and found some information that adds to the belief that the early report posted on the above link, about a 'Swindler' apprehended in the USA, does indeed relate to the son of Joseph Fendall...

Re: William Raybould--

Hi Linell, My problem with this family has been the lack of supporting church and/or civil records. They spent their life in Cradley but don't seem related to any of the other Rayboulds there, although William (senior) 'married' Rosanna Hingley, the Niece of the famous Noah. In census records Willia...

Re: William Raybould--

Linell, Thank you for your continuing interest. I thought the notes in the Notebook 'fitted' the situation but I do accept that it is possible William may be illegitimate, as no verifiable record has been found yet of his parents' marriage; and his siblings were baptised only after Vicar Thompson st...

Re: William Raybould--

Hi, I think Linell has misunderstood the references in the Vicar's Notebooks. Above she suggests that the note (ill) next to the listing for William Raybould indicates that he was illegitimate and that would have gone some way to explaining why I am having trouble identifying the 'roots' of this fam...

Re: William Raybould--NL adding.

Hi Jan, I am trying to find out what happened to William Raybould, the son of William Raybould and Rosanna Hingley, of Cradley. Census records show his year of birth as circa 1834 and that he was living with his parents up until 1851, in Cradley; also, there are newspaper references to him up until ...

Re: William Raybould

BCW,
Thank you again, but my William's father was alive and well and living in Cradley in 1857.

I will have to think of some other way of resolving this one.
Your help was much appreciated. :-)

Re: William Raybould

BCW - Thank you.

ARC TBC William Raybould--

Hi, My search for my Raybould family connection is ongoing - still - and I was wondering if anybody can help me with the details of the marriage of a William Raybould to an Ann Cope in Pensnett, Brierley Hill, on 31 August 1857 . The transcript shows William's father as another William Raybould and ...

Jeremiah Raybould

m Hi, hope all are well and a belated 'Happy New Year' to everyone. It has been suggested by another researcher (not on this site) that the Jeremiah Raybould in the above link is the son of a William Raybould and Rosanna Hingley, who are my gt gt gt grandparents. Does anyone have any further informa...

Re: Benjamin Hill--NL adding Bcc

Hi, I only followed this family 'in passing ' but it may help to know that I found a BMD record which shows the marriage of Eliza to Joseph Beddall in the March quarter of 1843 (Stourbridge 18:456); Census records subsequently shows that Joseph was a ‘Nailer’ and they had at least 2 children, James ...

ARC TBC..............Benjamin Hill--

m Hi, Re the above BCC link about a Benjamin Hill, I have been working on the assumption that his wife was Phoebe Crampton, the daughter of Henry Crampton and Sarah Harper. The ‘Transcripts of Halesowen Parish Registers’ show the marriage of a Phoebe Crampton to a Benjamin Hill in St John’s Church o...

Re: Family of Elijah Cartwright

M,

Thank you. I will assume that he died between 1891 and 1900, as his wife Clara Ann remarried in 1900.
