Would you be so good as to do me a great favour and take a snap of my Grandparents gravestone? I have the plot number and a map I can email via P.M.
Cheers, Tony.

Re: Grandparent's Graves.
As you know the Chelmsford Crematorium Starchild, do you also know the area? The reason I'm asking is I'm thinking of popping a letter in the local newspaper to see if I get any replies from Oakes's possibly also doing genealogy. Do you know the name and address of the paper?

Encountered one in my R.A.F. time, Wayne Groves, we had to check up on him after half an hour from him getting a technical job to do on Argosy aircraft. I think his services were dispenced with.

Re: Wooden cotton reel and 4 nails
Our kind of SHAKY BOTTLE was made/prepared thus. Obtain a medicine bottle, one of those flat clear glass jobs with a cork, save some pocket money, go to the chemist and buy some pure liquorice (looked like obsidion and was just as hard). Find a relatively clean curbstone and a cobble, breaking up th...

Re: The longest of long shots!
Marianne is/was researching Bayliss and I'm researching Oakes. There was a 'coming together' and later they got married, but typing out my plea got the old grey cells whirring and I remembered a wodge of paperwork I had put 'somewhere safe'. After searching, I found it and in there was a letter from...

The longest of long shots!
If you have been reading my bleatings...you may remember I've tried this genealogy thing a few times before but got frustrated and put it on hold. My last session was about 4 - 5 hears ago and I had an enormous amount of help from a friend called Marianne. I've tried to contact her again but I think...

After extensive reading, I think I'm starting to grasp it.
But bleedin' typical! There isn't anyone down on the list for the parts Surrey or Suffolk for which I have addresses.
Cheers tony.
