Regarding birth for my Great ...

Re: Boatmen
I'm fairly sure that I've tried those two, plus umpteen more. There are several that seem to fit the bill.
I'll sort out the ones that I have tried but it will take me some time because of recent hard drive problems.

Re: Boatmen
I have personal knowledge and can easily identify most of the people listed in the funeral notice except Jane; I have no idea who she was or who her family were. It is also worth noting that "dad" sent a floral tribute, so I assume that William Henry Sr. was still alive when his son of the...

Re: Boatmen
Hello I notice a Charlie Glover appearing in the replies. Here is a transcript of the funeral notice that appeared in the local newspaper following William Henry Jr's death. This may be of interest to some of the people in the chain as I feel sure they may be able to identify their ancestors.. -----...

Re: Boatmen
Hello kdw
I looked at that possibility some time ago but he would have been just ten years old in 1881 and that doesn't seem to add up.
Thanks for trying,
ffg

Hello Everyone Yes I do have the marriage certificate, the marriage between William GLOVER aged 24 and Elizabeth WOODCOCK aged 23 took place at St Michael's Church, Brierley Hill on November 10th 1895. It appears that both William and Elizabeth were unable to sign their names and they each made thei...
