I'm a bit late replying to the posts re my question but thanks to everyone.
I was asked by a local library to help a person from Brighton out re his Garratt line, he has poor eyesight and is unable to view a computer screen.
I shall print out the replies and forward them to him.

I'm looking for the children of Samuel Garratt, born 1806, who married Christie Price 7th November 1825 in Aston Birmingham, or any information about him.
He was the son of Samuel & Phillys (Billingham) Garratt

I recently went onto Ancestry to look up some census records, but having a quick look around I found a number of Family Trees using material from my personal web site, which I actually don't mind, but not one gave a reference or credit to my site, these genealogical parasites gave incestus reference...

I'm looking at William Moore & Elizabeth Trowman, who married 08 Jun 1835, St Thomas, Dudley.

Does anyone have any census records for these that gives the age and birth place of Elizabeth.

'Blacks' were fashionable accessories in the George 2nd period, but it also raises the question of which Mr Russell?

On page 462 of the Rowley Regis PR's there's an entry that reads:

10 June 1742 Jere Michae. A black of Mr Russell's of Birmingham. P. Buried.

So was he a slave? Was Mr Russell in the slave trade?

On BCC we have a Sarah Russell, born 1715, marrying Daniel Tromans, born 1709/10, they were married in 1731 which would make Sarah 16 at the time, far too young for the period. Yes I viewed the burials yesterday at Dudley Archives.

I only know he married Ann Barber 8th Nov 1808 Wyke Regis Dorset, he was buried in Pensnett 13th Jan 1850, age 82. His wife Ann was buried 26 June 1865 age 79 in Pensnett. There's a possible birth for Ann, 30th Sept 1785,St. Edmunds, Salisbury, Wiltshire, the birth place given on the census as Shrew...

They are also the children of Silas.
