Originally the market place in Sedgley. The Courthouse pub building is very old, not just early 19th century as it appears, it dates back to at least 1535, and was a manorial court house. It became an inn in the 1800s. The last court assize was held there in 1925. All Saints church tower is medieval, but the rest was rebuilt by the Earl of Dudley in 1829.
