Just joined the site. It is suggested we introduce ourselves, hope that this is the right place, been going around in circles trying to find out.
Marie and Bill, we've been researching for nearly thirty years now, no computers then, back to the days of notebook and pencil around the micro-fiche machine in the library.
Marie, blackcountry girl, hails from Lye & Stambermill. Researching family generally around that area also including Cradley & Halesowen. These being Southall, Dudley, Newey, Willetts, Cook, Westwood, Skelding, Foxall etc etc. Some further afield such as Chambers & Rogers from Kinver, Hunt from Bromsgrove and Dunn from Gloucester.
Bill, a Brummie but with ancestors spread all over the country. Austin & Hammond from Montgomeryshire, Hunt from Cheshire, Hodgkins in Staffordshire, Fletcher, Hinley, Barker in Shropshire, Durance, Duffin, Fawkes in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, White & Frizzle from Leicester & Derbyshire etc etc
