Thank you Mark, granger and peterd.
We could not find a birth date for Annie. 2 possibilities were : "'Annie, Sept 1896 Newton Abbot, 5b 113"
and "Annie Elizabeth W. ,Jun 1897 Taunton, 5c 290".
Could not find an identifiable marriage for Alfred but possibe wife was Elizabeth Wheeler In ?? Middlesex. this was in ancestry .com
could not find any deaths identifiable for these three.
Is there a way of finding if Annie married?
Or if Alfred and Elizabeth had more children?

[quote="MarkCDodd"]Is Alfred a sailor?
Hi Mark.
One Alfred was a sailor. Two Alfreds were born in 1875 in Devon. They were 1st cousins via grandapents Thomas KING (c1811-1838) + Susanna STONE (c1816-1903). Alfred the sailor was born 1875 Littlehampson, son of James KING + Susan HOWE, died 11 Feb 1910 Rawson Hospital, Buenos Ayres, Argentina of typhoid - was Chief Steward on "Canova" [Marine Register March 1910 102193]
The other Alfred appears to be a bricklayer, if he is the one you identified in the 1911 Census at Aberdare, Glamorganshire. The 'migration' to Wales may be supported by 'migration' of another 1st cousin Henry John KING + Laura FIELD to Pontnewynydd, Monouth between 1901-1904. Henry had been a stone quarry forman and by 1911 a mason. The Henry KING 'twig' died out by 1941.
Would be interesting to know what happened to Alfred + Elizabeth
Would be even more interesting to know what happened to daughter Annie - are there grand-children out there?
By the way, James KING + Susan HOWE are my great-great-grandparents: where do you and gardenboffin fit into the tree?
