Hi NL, Ann is on the Census here:-

1841 Census Hayseech Rowley Regis Dudley Staffs.
Isaac Willetts 70 Nailer
Mary Willetts 65 not Staffs.
William Willetts 30
Ann Tibbetts 35
Fanney Tibbetts 16
William Tibbetts 11
David Tibbetts 8
Samuel Tibbetts 6
Benjamin Harris 30 Nailer not born Staffs.
Mary Harris 25
George Harris 4
Noah Harris 2
Jane Harris
Rest born Staffs.

I have this family in my tree, never found any Marriage of Ann to John Tibbetts or anything on him :?: Not sure he was ever anything more than a boyfriend :?: In 1841 Ann and her children are calling themselves Tibbetts, by 1851 they are back to Willetts. HTH Linell.

something very odd with this lot and it would be good to sort who this JOhn married (was it Ann with wm david and sally)

rite we are getting somewhere on this thanks for this

so in that case how can Ann Willetts with father Isaac marry John Tibbetts in 1826
and then Wm is illeg with no father on bapt or his marriage and yet his sibs have father John Tibbets/labourer /nailer on theirs
(David and Sally) marriage

I think either she married John he died before 1830
and Anns kids are unknowns and just used name John Tibbetts
or

The John Tibbetts that married Ann Willetts is another John Tibbetts maybe the son
of John Tibbetts and Elizabeth

John that marries Mary grove is a wid

I think that John Tibbetts marries Ann Willetts May 1826
and is this one
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =517830750
poss death Oct 1826

Possible Burial 3 Oct 1826 Cradley aged 23
anyone got the burial record pls
what does it say

that would then explain
-Ann Willetts using Tibbetts name
-but Wm being illeg
-and Wms line the Dna not matching the Tibbetts line

Hi NL, Joseph Tibbetts burial October 1826 is not listed in the Cradley Register :?: That does all fit though, with him dying at age 23. Linell.

There's another daughter Mary born 1822. David wasn't born until 1833, perhaps she told all the children their father was John Tibbetts :?: :?:

I found it, in the Cradley Baptist Register only says John Tibbetts October 1826 aged 23. If the family were baptists there may be some more info in the Register, will have a look. Linell.

The only other bit of info is a Jno Tibbetts and a Thomas Tibbetts renting Pews in 1822. Could be John and a brother or father Thomas :?: Linell.

Ann's daughters Mary 15.12.1822 and Fanny 3.7.1825 both have 'Daughter of Ann Willetts ill Nailor of Hayseech.'

Looks like Ann had these children before any Marriage.
