Hello and thankyou to Northern Lass for directing me to this site :-)

I live in Ontario, but grew up in British Columbia. Both myself and my husband have a strong British ancestry. I am hoping that posting here may help me demolish a few brickwalls even though I have been fairly successful in my searching so far.
I am going to have a good look around over the next few days and post any queries on the appropiate threads, however I will list the main names I am searching..
Yeoman, Prince, Nicholls/Nicholas, (Wanstrow,Somerset)
Poole (Gloucestershire)--have the name of a town that doesn't exist!
Henson(Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire)--I have lots of contacts there!!
Hillier(Gravesend, Kent)
Powell,( Much Cowarne area, Herefordshire)
Elley (Lincolnshire)
Thompson( Aramgh, Ireland) A REAL brickwall :(

I am trying to find the stories behind everyones lives, not just a bunch of leaves for my family tree so any tidbit is a happy addition..... I'm nosey..I want the why's, who's, where,s answered!!

See you soon..........

Farmer's daughter

By coincidence it was a Canadian friend of mine who told me once " to never lose touch with your feminine side".
Good advice and more " men" should bear this in mind. The world would be a better place!!
I feel a song coming on!! :o

Hello Rob..

Someone has taught you well. The last time an iron was used in my house was to iron on some sticky tape that was trim for shelving that was being put up over the Christmas holidays

I will continue to find my way around the forums and figure out where to do my postings. My Powells are from Herefordshire.

Thanks again everyone for your nice welcome.

Hello Cold Ontario. Your right it's colder than in my fridge. Warming up today though, we're getting snow at the moment. From another Ontario lass. I also have Powell from herefordshire, that is my sister-in law's family. Also Luffman and Willetts from Somerset.
