so 1871 census is correct age as this one is born c1857/58

also mother maria and joseph are living at (Halesowen Rd 50 Rowley Regis, Stafford) in 1881

Had another look at the page, could be 15 I guess, in saying that I think this maybe Martha birth, is 16 too young to be a witness?

so there a possibilty that george willetts, martha husband is rebecca sister ?

rebecca who married joseph hayes ha a brother b c1852 so i think that george who married martha russ is rebecca brother as census has his age 29 c 1852 but just to confirm it

Thanks for all the work on this FS and Peter while I had my dinner Yes FS I think there were many 16 year old Witnesses, after all they started work aged 7. George Willetts 1852 was a Witness with Martha Russ to the Marriage of Rebecca Willetts and Joseph Haynes, so thanks very much you two, that all fits. Right am off to enter up the Sherratt info on BCC. Will catch up with this later, many thanks from linell.
