"completed" CHADWICKS in Bury, Lancashire

Decided I would step out of my 'comfort zone' ( rooting around Midlands and Black Country!) and have a look at my husband's tree.......he has people from the 'grim north'!

These CHADWICKS seem to be from the Bury area and there are loads of them, though I don't seem to be getting much joy on IGI.

Is there anyone on this forum familiar with genealogy research up there....... is there anyone that does lookups from time to time?.... otherwise I'm going to have to order lots of certificates!
..... is there anything like the BMSGH site for the north?..... any websites with parish records online etc?

Anyway..... here is what I have...

John CHADWICK ( born 1860 Bury, Lancs)... bookkeeper at cotton mill then a stocking maker working on own account from home
wife Frances FARROW ( also born Bury around 1860).... they were married in Bury in 1883
2 children...... Hilda CHADWICK (born 1884 Bury)
and James Wallace CHADWICK(born 1885 Bury)... grew up to be an engineer and lived and worked in India for many years.

This family lived at 334 Walmesley Rd, Bury in 1891.... and then 41, Bridge St, Bury in 1901.

There are trees on Ancestry going really far back with the Chadwicks but I don't see much in the way of supporting evidence.

... so I'm pretty much starting from scratch with this lot!

Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hi expat, I would try this too, my friend is subscribed to this site and highly recommends it for Lancs:-

I have done a heap of stuff around Lancashire for my cousin Gena Dodd. (She now lives in the middle of nowhere in Scotland).

Families tend to move address a lot more than I am used to in the Black Country.

I find the OnLine Parish Clerk sites to be fantastic. The Lancashire one is excellent.

Find My Past has pathetic coverage for Lancashire. Ancestry has most of the major town parishes.
