Bit of a muddle that family isnt it?
It also needs changing the census that is there to the head of household.

/Emma Westwood, Mar, lodger, 52, Nailer, Warley Wgigorn
James, son, 18, Labourer at stone quarry, Halesowen
Mary Ann, daur, 22, nailer, Halesowen
Joseph, son, 16, labourer at quarry
Eliozabeth, daur, 12,
John, son, 8,
Alfred, son, 4 months
All others born Rowley Regis

Do you think this may mean Joseph (Deseased) and it may be this Joseph here : http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =661865579

He seems to be the only Joseph Hall from Warley in 1881.

This seems likely - part of the same family - Is this Mary Ann here : http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =461707609 - would be William's G Grandson

no you would need to look it up
I am pretty sure it was that
or similar dont think it was deceased it is normally the full name then deceased
or
just word deceased

so we need to leave as is until proved
