Please could someone look up a marriage for a william whitehouse jukes and elizabeth hatton
anywhere around 1863 - 1871-maybe at Oldswinford St Marys Worcestershire or maybe Oldbury Staffordshire
as there first daughter Mary a Jukes was born in Oldbury in 1865? so maybe they lived there.

I know they moved to upper swinford/lower swinford Worcestershire by 1871 and
2nd daughter Minnie M Jukes was born 1868 in Stourbridge,

I need this link to carry on with my family tree. Thankyou to anyone who can help.

Help needed for Jane pls who is this Wm Whitehouse Jewkes
where is marriage

Thankyou everyone for your help but these are not the right people. Elizabeth's father is wilkinson Hatton and williams surname is Jukes, Whitehouse is his middle name. I wonder if his mother was unwed when she had William and maybe her surname was Whitehouse which would explain the whitehouse bit. He was born in Tipton in 1837.

Is this just a coincidence, Whitehouse and Hatton the same house.

I have found a possible birth for williams mother. A Sarah Whitehouse born 1813 Bilston and living in Tipton in 1841 age 28 still as Whitehouse but becoming Jukes by 1851. Which would mean that William was born before his mother married and so would have took the surname Whitehouse and then added on Jukes later on. What does anyone think of this theory? It still doesn't help me find the correct marriage though.

It could be either! I have part of my family born before their parents married in the 1870's, they're down on the birth certificate with their father's surname, as is their mother - but they didn't marry until a few years later. In fact they had the kids christened just a couple of months before their wedding.

There is this one,

WHITEHOUSE Sarah. JUKES Joseph. Sedgley, All Saints. Dudley Register Office. 216/007/360.

I will try to see if I can find this marriage but with witnesses. William would have been around 15 yrs. I wonder if he was a witness to his own parents marriage if it is the right people.

Jane i have searched for years for william jukes and his marriage to elizabeth,before i took it on eunice tried in the 80s
we have come to the conclusion they lived together good luck if you find it regards sueh
ps we have looked at all of those listed they did not fit.
