Hi there everyone,
Having inherited lots of original records and artifacts from my grandad, more free time to spare and a recently purchased Family Tree Software i have now started to take a very keen interest in my family history. I have managed to get out of a couple of blind alleys of information my grandad left and am now well on my way. But the certificates and papers him and my ancestors saved ina suitcase have been a godsend.
I decided to join this forum as it was recommended to me by NorthernLass when i contacted her on Black Country Connections. On that forum I have seen clear family links which have helped fill some gaps for me so thank you already.
I have found that my ancestors have connections with the black country and other surrounding areas, so i am keen to start investigating and indeed maybe i can help others too. To this end, i am planning a trip at the end of June to incorporate places in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Kingswinford sort of areas. So if any of you are from these areas i would love some help deciphering locations that i would like to visit.
The surnames i am particularly interested in amongst many are BRAY, WESTWOOD AND HODGES.
