The following is offered to help confirm the identity of David Raybould:

In the second Notebook of the Rev Thompson, David and Maria Raybould are shown still living in High Town, Cradley with sons, Joseph and Thomas. A copy of THOMAS RAYBOULD'S birth certificate shows he was born in High Town, Cradley on 4 May 1862 and his parents were David Raybould, Chain Maker, and Maria Raybould, formerly ELWELL. An extract of the parish records show his christening in St Peter's Church, Cradley on 18 June 1862.

If you do not have a record of this birth I will forward a copy of the birth certificate to Jan. :?:

An Ancestry tree suggests that David Raybould's mother is Rosanna Hingley, but I can't find confirmation of this.

The witnesses to david Raybould's wedding later got married. Another researcher claimed that the 'Gwillams' were brothers but no connection proved. :?:

However, I can confirm that Rosanna Raybould was formerly called Hingley. A copy of the birth certificate for daughter, Ellen, shows she was born in High Town, Cradley on 13 April 1852 and she was the son of William Raybold, matchet Maker, and Rosanna Raybold (formerly Hingley). I will send a copy of the certificate to Jan.

I have searched high and low for the marriage of William and Rosanna but it is another 'brick wall'.
