Denmark bans Marmite!!!!

I think it should be compulsory that anybody entering Australia should have to declare their love of Vegemite and eat a slice of toast covered in it without gagging.

I just have to have a jar of vegemite in the house. Even if I don't eat any for months, I need to know it's there. When I was a kid I used to eat it by the spoonful. I'll have that to blame when my arteries harden.

My wife eats marmite most days on a slice of toast with a cup of tea.
Not something i could ever get the taste for and vegimite is even more disgusting!!!

I'm with you Rob, although I've never tried vegimite (and never will!)!

I think vegemite is disgusting. And marmite on hot toast is lovely; marmite and banana, yum!

Marmite and watercress sandwiches (using good white bread) is the way to go.

I can't believe people dissed Vegemite
It is one of the three essential food groups along with Guinness and Dark Chocolate.
I should figure out a recipe to combine all three!
I don't mind English marmite but you have to shop for it over here. Nearly everybody stocks the New Zealand made Marmite which is a poor substitute.
I just found out they banned Vegemite as well.
How dare they!!!
I am going to boycot Danish Scrolls and see how they like it.

Maybe a daft question, but what are they???
(It's not that they've banned it, everything that has added vitamins has to have a special license to be sold, and marmite hasn't)

"Snail Scrolls" as we used to call them when we were kids.
The dough is rolled nad then made into a spiral.
Many different flavours available.

What the english call a danish pastry, nothing like what the danes makes (which is called Vienese Bread!!!)
