What your wife really means...

I am in deep trouble after misinterpreting what my wife said after a heated discussion.

I should have consulted the five rules of wifespeak that my mate sent to me a while ago.

(1) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when she knows she is RIGHT & YOU need to SHUT UP.
(2) NOTHING: Means SOMETHING & you need to be WORRIED.
(3) GO AHEAD: This is a dare, not permission, do NOT do it.
(4) WHATEVER: A woman's way of saying SCREW YOU.
(5) THAT'S OK: She is thinking long & hard on HOW & WHEN you will pay for your mistake.

I tripped over on (1) and (3).

It going to be cold in here for a few days

I can see how this is going to go. The blokes will give me the thumbs up and the ladies will side with the wife.

I have a 4 car garage that was full of old Sci Fi books, science magazine, computer magazines, ancient computers etc etc.

It looked like a Nerd museum. Which it was.

It ws some of my nerd stuff that I started collecting long before I got hitched.

I was running out of room and had a garage sale to get rid of some the treasure I could stand parting with.

Lets just say I raked in a lot of money.

Last time I did this I happily handed over the dough to the trouble and strife.

This time I wanted to update my computer and TV and surround sound.

Missus said some new curtains and dining table and tumble dryer were more important.

I put my foot down and said my stuff, my money, my choice.

Thats when I got the "FINE" and "GO AHEAD".

So lucky I will have my shiney new toys to keep me amused as there is no use going to bed early for a week or two.

Gee Kylie Minogue looks a lot better on a 50 inch that a 42 inch TV :P

My TV has a mute.
It never gets headaches.
One button turns it on.
It warms up in less than a minute.
I can watch TV and drink a Guinness at the same time.

Ah! but when the remote gets embedded sideways up somewhere

I have made the chain from the kitchen too short for that to happen.

She can't reach the TV or remote.

'Sides everyone knows the remote gets grafted to the male hand at first touch.

That aside, I'm with Mark...

1. His junk, his money, his spend.
2. New gadgets much more important than nesting materials

Now if it was me, I'd make him feel thoroughly guilty and then sit down to watch a romantic comedy on the new telly (he'd never dare complain).
Come to think of it... I think I'm giving away secrets here.

Ignore everything I've said, Mark!

I'm siding with you on this one Mark! Though I'd have invested in handbags and shoes!!!
