Political name calling...

Our extremely unpopular Prime Minister, the red headed bogan Julia Gillard, called the opposition leader, Mr. Tony Abbott, "The love child of Sarah Palin and Donald Trump."

Even the most loyal Liberal supporter had to giggle at that analogy.

It is good to see some old fashioned character assasination return to Aussie politics.

My analogy, which was very popular in the newpaper blogs this morning, was to call her the love child of Beaker the Muppet and Steve "Crodile Wrestler" Irwin.

The closer I look at her and listen to her awfull Aussie accent, the closer I think I am to the truth.

Oh, I really miss Paul Keating:

On John Howard: "the little desiccated coconut", "What we have got is a dead carcass, swinging in the breeze, but nobody will cut it down to replace him."

"For Mr Howard to get to the high moral ground, he would first need to climb out of the volcanic hole he had dug for himself over the last decade. It is like one of those diamond mine holes in South Africa. They are about a mile underground. He would have to come a mile up to get to even equilibrium let alone have any contest in morality with Kevin Rudd."

On Peter Costello (a previous Australian treasurer): "all tip and no iceberg", "Thallium - a slow-acting dope."

On former Liberal Party Leader and Shadow Treasurer, Andrew Peacock (a man known for his elegant hair-do):
"I suppose that the Honourable Gentleman's hair, like his intellect, will recede into the darkness."
"He is a shiver looking for a spine to crawl up."

On John Hewson: a “Feral abacus”
