I have done a look up and I now have more questions than answers....
I think that this Emma Rose is the sister of Hannah Rose who married Meshach Hackett here...
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =558140948On the 1881 census there are 2 kids with Meshach and Hannah an Emma b abt 1864 and a William b1873
all in the notes.
There is a bapt on IGI for an Emma b 1864
not sure where as although extracted just says Worcs no church... odd that.
Father is a William
I wonder if it is the lot on the 1851 I found Quinton Halesowen.
Something aint rite though on it being this William and Jane.
I would like to find the Father of Emma and Hannah Rose and his wife
help!

that is the one Linell I saw and think it could be that one but as you say no Hannah
I still believe they are sisters cos of the 2 Andrews kids with Hannah and Meshach in 1881 but starting to doubt this now.
Both have Wm as father
stuck

It has taken me two nights to fathom this out but here goes:-
Emma is the sister of Hannah, I have found these census's. William Rose is on the marriage certificate as I have it in my possession, as is Benjamin Hackett
1851 Census - 16 Court 5 ****? Smallbrook St, Birmingham
William Rose 37 b 1814 Northfield
Jane Rose 57( I think this s/b 37) Northfield
Hannah Rose 7 b Walesdown Shropshire
Emma Rose 4 b Birmingham
Thomas Rose 3 months b Birmingham
1861 Census - 24 (looks like) Mitton Street Aston
William Rose 48 b 1813 Northfield
Jane Rose 47 b 1814 Northfield
Hannah Rose 17 b 1844 Northfield
Emma Rose 14 b 1847 Birmingham
Thomas Rose 10 b 1851 Northfield
1871 Census - 121 Liggins? Lane Northfield
William Rose 57 b 1814 Northfield
Jane Wheeler 56 b 1815 Northfield (Is this her maiden name?)
Thomas Wheeler 20 b 1851 Birmingham
Emma Andrews 6 1865 b Northfield (Grandaughter )
Joseph Simpson 2 b 1869 Birmingham Lodger
1871 Census- Birmingham Workhouse
Emma Andrews b 1849 Inmate
Baby Andrews ( William?) Inmate
I presume Emma married John Edwards in 1863 as stated on BCG but he must have died as I cannot find him. It does state she is unmarried on the census though?
I think Emma Andrews the mother then dies, as no trace on 1881 Census hence young Emma and William with Hannah and Meschach
1881 - Census
Emma Andrews and William Andrews with Hannah and Meshach
Does any of it make sence?
