An Interesting meeting

Just had an interesting meeting with a distant relative. I have only been doing research for a couple of weeks and using ancestry to plan my family tree etc, one of the hints came back on my great great grandad of another user having the same person in there family tree. i contacted them and we have met up to swap information, the amazing thing is she is a descendant of my great grandads sister (great great auntie i believe) The spooky thing is that she not only lives in the same town as me, but also lives in the same village about 2 minutes drive from where we live...... i am amazed

yes and no, we know our great great grandad lived in brooklyn usa for a while as two of his children (including the great grandmother of this distant relative) were born there, they then lived about 40 miles away for a while before moving to the town we live in now. the curious thing is that the distant relatives great grandmother (who was sister to my great grand father) died about 100 plus miles away

i have just found another interesting fact. I have a copy of a marriage certificate of AMy read and Herbert helliwell. THis is my distant relatives Great grandmother and great grandfather. The witnesses to the marriage are MY great grand father and great grandmother.
