I had a turquoise crimpoline trouser suit aged 11 and though
I looked great ........it was awful


I always wanted and still do want a suede fringed jacket
one of these days I will get one.

I loved my cowboy boots and my red high high heels

best buy has to be my denim skirt I wore it till it frayed!

My best outfit was a pale blue all-in-one hotpants suit with knee high white lace up boots. Felt like the bees knees in that.

Can't remember my worst one - probably the orange swagger coat with matching hat that I had for my brother in law's wedding.

Most embarrasing was the underskirt my mom made me with a whalebone hem. My and me mate went up Dudley to Smokey Joes cafe up by top church. A couple of guys we knew stopped in a car and we went to talk to them. I leaned against the car door and my underskirt tilted up at the back showing ......

Any photographs of me in the 70's shows what I thought was the best of fashion in those days but are cringeworthy today.

The 1980's were just horrible with the multi coloured suits and the super wide ties.

Hotpants!!! Now they were a great invention but got in the way at the Drive In

Worst -
I have two - one was in the 80's. We used to as a rule visit Walton On the Naze and go to a pub called The Walton Tudor Inn. This was a New Years Eve tradition in my family. It was run by Ron and John a gay couple. Since sadly departed. All my Uncles and Aunts would go and the only stipulation was everyone had to attend in fancy dress. It will hunt me to my days that my mother was obsessed with Falcons Crest. So come new years eve we arrived, Dad was a bumble bee, mum was a butterfly, my younger brother was covered in cardboard boxes wrapped in foil and had come as Metal Micky and me - I came as a bunch of grapes LOL. oh dear. I was a vision in green tights, green jumper and a skateboarding helmet with a sign on it saying "Product of Falcons Crest" and of course the grapes, smothered from crotch to neck in green balloons. I arrived looking like a bogey, squeaking with the occasional dull thud as one of my bum balloons failed.

2nd one - Went on holiday to Cornwall. There are several pictures of me wearing a flat cap, a FELA jacket, jeans, and sporting a walking stick and Bowling shoes. I was 14. And despite my best efforts - every so often these pictures still surface now and then. However its usually my brothers attempt to take the michael. And now after a Chritsmas prank where I had to dress up as father Christmas because he bought us all these stupid outfits, there are some quite frightening pictures of my 6 foot, slightly tubby brother, dressed as Mrs Christmas (my revenge for the following year). Including assets and pig tails. We were all supposed to laugh and fall about at my brilliant revenge joke. Instead we sat there as he twirled in stunned open mouthed silence. It was quite intimidating

I have two worst outfits, both inflicted on me by my lovely mother!
One was a yellow shirtdress when I was about five. It had yellow enamelled buttons. To this day I don't wear yellow!
The other was my sisters outdated flares. Cast off older siblings clothes- need I say more!!

My best outfit, in the eighties was a peach skirt, with a long abstract floral t-shirt, I got stopped on the street and asked where I'd got it. I was eight feet tall that day! (made a nice change for a someone who's vertically challenged)!

I think my worst was my Bay City Rollers fad! Trousers half waf way down my calf with tartan sewn down the side. Tartan on my wrist and some crazy socks my Nan bought me with them on them!

Loved my DMs and Harrington Jacket oh and my monkey boots!

One of my best friends daughter said you where strange things but they look ok!
I just put on whats comfy now!
