Having a really frustrating morning here...just can't seem to connect my HACKETT and GREAVES to the HACKETT and GREAVES in the BCC tree... though they are all living in the right sort of areas.
Sarah Jane HACKETT (B.1854 Halesowen) married Ebenezer GREAVES (B. 1850 Halesowen) in 1874... Oct-Dec St Lukes Church Cradley Heath.
Think I may have to send up for the marriage certificate to get some clues on her parents... unless any of you know anything about this lady?
I think she died in 1946... found a burial record for Halesowen Cemetary for 16 Feb 1946 Section J Plot 239.. and I think the Ernest GREAVES buried in plot 237 is her son ( taken from Dudley cemetaries website)
Ebenezer GREAVES ( Born 1850, Brook Rd, Halesowen).... I have 'zillions' of GREAVES who connect to him and in my 'ancestry tree' I have linked up all the Halesowen GREAVES ( of which there are alot.. all 'nailers') with the Birmingham and Harborne GREAVES. so could add loads to the tree if I can just find the link!
I notice that also in the BCC tree is D. GREAVES married to Fanny HACKETT ( born 1830 Halesowen)... these two families definitely know each other!
Anyone have anything on Sarah Jane before I send off for that marriage certificate?
Oh.. I can add 1881 and 1891 census details for Brook Rd, Halesowen if anyone interested... showing Ebenezer and Sarah J's household after their marriage.
Thanks again,
Off to get a cup of tea... need a break from dead people for a while!
