I was wondering if anyone could help me with this
My great great grandfather was Antonio Lubeck born c1845 in Chile He married Hannah (Annie) Fox in 1875, daughter of Catherine Agnew and John Fox although I havent checked this out yet as not 100% sure
I have had a message from someone through Genes Reunited I cannot post her name as she is obviously living but this is what it said:
hi my name is ------- and antonio was my grandmothers uncle, and she was living with them on the 1891 census after her mother died. his wife and my grans mother were sisters and they came from ireland. and they lived on manasty lane of hanover street. there father had his own shop making and selling brushes.
Hopefully this will help with finding out who my great great grandmother actually was
Can anyone find the 1891 census that she is talking about? Thanks

Thats great thankyou
So am i right in thinking that Annie, Margaret and John were brothers and sisters and so Their father could have also been John Fox? I have Annie(Hannah?s parents as Catherine Agnew c1819 and John Fox c1814 but have no proof of this

It is unlikely that there was any consistancy at that stage as to how catharine was spelt at that stage.

This looks like the possible marriage.

Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1845

FOX * John AGNEW Catharine Liverpool, Register Office or Registrar Attended Liverpool REG_LP/19/175
FOX * John MACLAUGLIN Catharine Liverpool, Register Office or Registrar Attended Liverpool REG_LP/19/175

http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/cgi/mar ... lancashire

looking at the 1851 census MG found you it looks like Robert is Agnew and Rose McLaughn so would really be Mother in Law

I am still struggling with this if anyone can help.
Annie/Ann/Hannah Fox keeps changing her first name for one!
One of Antonio's sisters must have married an Edwards which is why Mary J is their neice I understand that.
I haven't got an 1861 or 1871 census for Annie and she doesn't seem to be with her parents. The Ann on 1861 is the wrong age I think??
Her marriage to Antonio is registered "Hannah" in 1875 but her death is "Annie":
Annie Lubeck
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1860
Year of Registration: 1892
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Age at Death: 32
District: Liverpool (1837-1934)
County: Lancashire
Volume: 8b
Page: 53
RG12 / 2910 / 7 / 7
Or maybe Ann on the census IS her as on 1891 census she is aged 36 enen though her age at death was 32!!

and this marriage... Is it the same marriage with Catharine registered with two different surnames?
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1845
FOX * John AGNEW Catharine Liverpool, Register Office or Registrar Attended Liverpool REG_LP/19/175
FOX * John MACLAUGLIN Catharine Liverpool, Register Office or Registrar Attended Liverpool REG_LP/19/175

and do you think they have got Rose's surname completely wrong on the 1851 census and that she was actually MCLauglin?

I'm very confused. Please help ???

I wouldn't worry too much about the Hannah, Annie name. My mom's two grandma's were Hannah Bennett, otherwise known as Annie and Nancy and her other grannie was Registered as Mary Ann Jones, but always known as Annie and Nancy. Mom didn't know her name was Mary Ann until I started our family research.
