I've found this marriage on family search, unfortunately no father mentioned. It's not on WMBMD either.
Unless anyone else can find it, you may have to send off for the certificate:

LITTLEWOOD, Catherine
Registration District: Wolverhampton
County: Staffordshire
Year of Registration: 1848
Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun
Volume No: 17
Page No: 325

I've looked at the census to see if that'll help. I can find her post marriage at Club Building, Rowley Regis from 1851 until 1881. She's a widow by 1871, and by 1891 she's living with her son in law and daughter in Old Hill. Apparently no Littlewoods nearby. I have found a James Littlewood in Kingswinford in 1851 (a mill labourer from Sheffield).
I can't find her for sure in 1841, there's no Catherine Littlewood living with parents, and I can't find a James Littlewood either.

What info do you have, is there anything that could point us in the right direction?

Hello Snoopysue

Thank you for your replies.
The James Littlewood you found in the 1851 census born Sheffield Yorkshire is a brother of my 3xg.gran Sarah Ellis (nee Littlewood) children of John Littlewood + Catherine Wilcockson.(Sheffield Yorks)
As my 2xg.gran was also named Catherine(Ellis) , I'm wondering if the Catherine Littlewood bapt.1826 at Park Lane Presb.Cradley daug. of James + Sarah (nee Homer)poss. wed 1826 Kingswinford. is the one who
married Joseph Rider.

a possible...
1841 census Halesowen H0107/1197 folio 30 page 20
Catherine Littlewood age 10
(living with Homer g.parents)

Catherine Littlewood(nee Wilcockson) is living with her son John at Quarry Bank in 1841.Another daughter Ann possibly wed Edward Pearson 1815 Kingswinford, and she is living with brother John 1851 Quarry Bank.

I think I'm on the right track, have just found a Trysull connection...

1841 cens. H0107/1002 folio 5 page 3
Edward Pearson 50 wheelright yes
Ann 45 no
Herbert 14 yes.

Perhaps Catherine Littlewood (1826) was living with Aunt Ann at time of her marriage.

Jackie.

All Saints Trysull records
The parish register of the parish church of All Saints commences in 1558. The original registers for the period 1558-1968 (Bapts), 1558-1933 (Mar) & 1558-1980 (Bur), are deposited at Staffordshire Record Office. Note that the pages up until 1572 are mostly torn out!
Bishops Transcripts, 1665-1868 (with many gaps) are deposited at Lichfield Record Office.
