A living Eley believes the following Richard Eley is connected to Eley Family of Butchers from Netherton and Dudley already on Bcc.
I am not so certain as Census details are confusing as to place of birth.
Perhaps someone can look at and see if they can find marriage to Mary Brown and Richard,s parents.

but there are numerous Eley persons on bcc Butchers or Farmers

Hi Mumbles, I think they are all one family, this Richard 1741 was the Grandfather of Wm Harrison Eley 1802:-

They were all Farmers and Butchers, both families lived and died in the Sweet Turf area of Netherton. Richard who went to Monmouth I am sure is from the same family. Linell.
