I have received the marriage certificate today for my grandparents William Heighway and Phyllis Lubeck
They were married 5th June 1940 District Liverpool South
William Leslie Walter Heighway: Age 27, Bachelor, Motor Mechanic, 40 Leopold Road, Liverpool
Father: William Walter Heighway, Ministry of Labour Clerk
Phyllis Lubeck: Age 19, Spinster, Confectioners Shop Assistant, 40 Leopold Road, Liverpool
Father: Philip Lubeck, Seaman Merchant Service
Hopefully this will help to get a bit further back
Can anyone help with any further information?

That other thread is really long and Im getting in a muddle going through.
That marriage is late again for available census them together.

The 1901 cencus in Bridgenorth and the possible 1911 details that grangers14 has (W.Derby) seem to be the same family
The witnesses were A Kirk and E Smith
I am now wondering if there is a connection between A Kirk and Phyllis's mother Jane Rice who married Thomas E Kirk before marrying Philip Lubeck?

he poss could be her half brother or cousin ?
