Spin off from topic in the Snug!

I'd like to see if the Woodall's I've added to BCC connect up with any of the other Woodall's on BCC.
There seem to be a fair few Woodalls on BCC in the Dudley area, with some being miners! I need to add some census notes, so maybe some connections there!!

One word of warning, there is another Joseph married to Mary Ann Smart with, amongst others, a son called Titus - this is not my Joseph!

That sounds like a possible for Samuel.

One thing I've noticed is that Joseph's wife Mary Ann isn't on later census's but Joseph is not down as a widower - I've looked for a death for her, just to be sure but haven't found one. Any ideas

Those two census's look good, other than Joseph's age seems way out - he should be down as 14/15 if the other census's are correct. I know they should've rounded down but that would make him 10 rather than 8! Maybe I shouldn't read too much into the age though!

If that's the correct wedding, they married after the birth of some of the children, although that isn't unheard of on my mother's side of the family!

It may be worth sending of for a birth cert to check on maother's maiden name, there are several Thomas's born at the right time, no Nancy's - but I did find this Jane:

I've got those, haven't had the time to add them to BCC yet, there's also a census from Yorkshire (I'm pretty sure) with Matilda and David on pre marriage. Their daughter Mary Ann is my great grandmother and married into the Jeavons part of my family. It's more if they connect up to other Woodalls on BCC I'm interested in! I suppose it's Samuel's children as well as Joseph's children we should be looking at.

There isn't as far as I know, but I'm trying to see if I can link some of my lot with the others on BCC. It may not be possible!! The census you've found looks good though - matches with Thomas' and Samuels ages on the other census's.
